Hi Bron, nice close-ups of the head of the Camponotus intrepidus, although none of the photos show the whole ant. The third photo actually shows a Meat Ant (Iridomyrmex purpureus) walking past the nest of the Camponotus. Cheers, Jon

Thanks for the id' Jon. Sorry they wouldn't come out of the hole, and I suspected the other ant was different.
