I am confident of my ID. I watched a female guarding her egg sac in my front yard for months. When they hatched, this is what they looked like. (Though my reported sighting of the hatchlings has never been confirmed.)

It's very tricky to tell with spiderlings, I think these look more like Deliochus, however noting your observations Alison, we've ID'd as orb-weaver family.
