This spider had a body length of 6 mm. I measured the spacing on the wooden blinds for scale (~ 2 mm), so this should be fairly accurate. Comparing with the images from the external link to Damoetas nitidus, the stripes and body shape are very similar to this one. But this one may be too big, has a different colour, and the dark patterns on the legs seem quite different (dark bands around the leg close to the body here, in the link images the dark areas extend further down on the "underside" of the legs). But I am not sure how significant those differences are. If I can find it again tomorrow I'll try to catch it and make more images.

Both of Christine's measurements fall between 5 - 12 mm so sizing would match. As for colouring and patterns etc, variations are to be expected between individuals within any species (eg. Badumna insignis, Apricia jovialis, Hypoblemum griseum) and if you have a look through the sightings under these examples, you'll see variations in size, colouring and patterns, but they are still the same species. It's a good point though, and I should've said "similar" instead of the "same" species, so sorry about that. But if you have a closer look at the sightings I referred to, although the photos are all taken under contrasting conditions, they are similar. Christine's older one is essentially a silhouette, but you can still see the white markings, the dark hairs on the first segment of the legs closer to the body, and the general body shape and posture. The more recent one is under a flash so it has a lot of reflection and brightness, emphasising light and dark and making it appear as though there are colours (blue-ish tinge) that aren't in your sighting. You sighting doesn't have a flash (thus no reflections) and is much closer, showing more finer detail--which is great!--and it has the dark hairs on the leg segment closest to the body like sighting 4239166. Abdomen patterns align for all three of these sightings, the dark hairs on the closest leg segment to the body is present in two out of these 3 and I don't see any other significantly differing features. If anything, sighting 4249255 has the biggest difference because it lacks the dark segment on the legs, but this could just be variation within a species.

Although I still think there is value in following the sightings from Christine, sighting 3852821 has a truly close resemblance to your sighting; hopefully it's more agreeable :D

Thanks Yumi, I agree this is quite a good match. My initial observation that it was quite flat also matches with the description in the external link on the Holoplatys species page.

I agree #3852821 is the same species, and in gross structure it matches Holoplatys. In colour it does resemble Damoetas nitidus, but that species is more convex and more shiny, lacking the white scales of this sighting.
