Ginninderra Creek was checked again 30 hours after air-breathing carp were seen a little downstream. Water was still black and flowing little. This time dead fish were seen in several pools, dominantly large carp, but also small Redfin (not photographed). Small carp survived the low-oxygen event - no small bodies were found and small dark fish were swimming near the surface of the same pools. This event was reported to Environmental Protection Agency the following morning.
