Indeed Aaron, and there is a nice little story behind it too; that's why I added 5th pic. This was taken on 30DEC19, I got the slightest glimpse (and a very quick pic) before it flew away! One week later i returned, and there it was, on exactly the same shrub! :)
This record is an excellent find, and is as far north that I know of that this red form of this species occurs. In fact, it is the first record of this form outside of Victoria. Castiarina deyrollei was formerly thought to be a separate species, called Castiarina sancta, and before that, Stigmodera (Castiarina) sancta. Nonetheless, a DNA study of this form, lets call it 'variety sancta',and comparisons with the DNA of others of this species from elsewhere, could well prove enlightening.
