Presumably a wingless Queen. Sighted at rest at high level on a wall.

Hi Tim, she is certainly a Camponotus, but all the images I have seen of C. consobrinus queens show the first segment (front part) of the gaster (abdomen) with a light coloured band, the same as you see in the workers, and this is not apparent in your photos. It might be Camponotus nigriceps, but not sure. Cheers, Jon
