About 1.2 metres, two main branches with seedpods, struggling in very dry spot on wire fence.

I suspect that this plant is the offspring of something that was planted. The mostly likely species is the local sieberi, but linearis and subulatus are other possibles. If it has red flower spikes, it is not sieberii, which has cream to yellow, sometimes pinkish, flower spikes.
