Unfortunately another local daisy, Rhodanthe anthemoides, also has flower heads with yellow centres and white ‘petals’. To ID which it is, I need good photo(s) of stems and leaves to determine which it is, or at least a comment saying whether the leaves are whitish (or greyish) hairy (Leucochrysum) or sticky and hairless to almost hairless (Rhodanthe).

Going by the examples I saw today, it is more likely to be Leucochrysum albicans.

Thanks very much both, I've just had a quick look at some images of Rhodanthe anthemoides and the leaves of the plants I saw were definitely a very pale grey-green in comparison (and I *think* hairy) so I'm pretty sure it's not R. a. I will take some better photos this week to confirm :)
