This dragonfly was inland, not near water, whereas the other dragonflies posted previously were around water.

Hi Roy - I think this one is an Australian Emerald, despite the overall appearance fitting a Tau Emerald pretty well. Look particularly at the the upwardly projecting points to the marks on abdominal segments 7 and 8. Also the pterostigmata are very dark, and relatively short and thick, which also argues for australasiae.
