Being near Booroowa, I presume the altitude is much less than 1000 m. The rule of thumb on Canberra Nature Map is to use Microseris walteri for sightings under about 1000 m altitude and Microseris lanceolata for sightings over about 1000 m altitude. The tow species can only be told apart by their roots and by details of the seeds.
The daisy is on our property at Crooked Corner, elevation 805m - so presumably it is M. walteri and I need to amend my sighting! Can I do that, or will you do it as moderator?
