This was a sad sighting, as I think the wombat has mange.

Thanks for uploading your sighting! Good news, this is not mange! It’s bite marks from another wombat. Mange appears first on the underside and down the sides of the wombat first. The last place that they lose their fur is down their back

Oh, phew! Thank you so much! I have seen the mangy wombats without any fur previously - such a sad sight. I didn't know how it presented, so really appreciate your comment.
