I suspect this is Cyathus olla but I can't be sure how smooth or hairy the outer surface is.

Thanks Ken, I have taken and added a few more photos. Hard to tell from size but does not appear or feel hairy.

Ken suspects correctly. Ryu has kindly given me a nice collection of specimens, which will be incorporated in the herbarium here.
