Did you notice if this had gills or pores underneath and what colour were they? How big was it?

Dark brown gills underneath, The stem was beige. It was about 15cm across.

Had a second look at this mushroom, it had been uprooted since the last time I seen it, and it did not have gills underneath.

Given the size and absence of gills, it could easily be a bolete other than Phlebopus. Unfortunately the photo presents too little detail to say anything else.
