Only one patch located, of several individuals: clustered together. On wet sands, just above waterline, shaded by overhanging shrubs, and protected from trampling by shrubs-blackberries, facing southerly: edge of large sand-gravel sandbar upstream of Angle Crossing.

Not a species I have seen. But I think you are right. https://apps.lucidcentral.org/plants_se_nsw/text/entities/samolus_valerandi.htm
This is a late draft of a fact sheet from my app, Plants of South Eastern New South Wales, available from the Google play store. It is at the beta testing stage.

Interesting that it is considered perennial: the ones I have seen and the specimens submitted to herbarium have short fibrous roots.
Will it be only Google Play ?

No. Apple does not allow beta testimg apps to be seen by the public. A pity. I have had really useful feedback from someone using the Android version.
When the app is fully tested, Apple will release it also. There will also be a key using the same information, on the Lucid site.
