flying around the tree tops in the woodland area did not stop for long a couple in Acacia trees and one in a Gum tree.

This species has been known to breed on wattles before in the ACT, did you see any egg-laying?

no did not see any laying eggs, they did not settle for long the 2 times we saw an individual settle the other were just flying around the tops of the trees.
