A pity you just missed the flowers! I am almost certain it is C. clivicola, but as it would appear to be the first sighting from Mt Majura, I might wait to see what Tobias thinks before confirming it. Keep looking - I'm sure there must be more. They usually flower over a prolonged period.

That's awesome, thanks Cath. Weirdly I didn't even think to check but don't remember seeing many of them around Majura!!!

The plant appears quite sturdy which makes me wonder whether C cornuta might be a possibility? Equally could well be C clivicola, and I would think clivicola more likely. Happy to cede to your greater experience with these little ones Cath :)

Either way, a great find Aaron!

I was also wondering about which species it was. From my limited experience, it didn't look as chunky as C. cornuta in the flesh, I have wrongly suggested C. cornuta a lot in the past, so I thought hmm chances are I'm wrong again and it's probably C. clivicola...!

I'm happy to call it C. clivicola. The leaf tip is well below the flowers, there's no sign of red stripes on the dorsal sepals and it doesn't look quite as robust as cornuta.
