If it was rooting at the nodes I would be inclined to call it Glycine microphylla. Though the flower clusters suggest a hybrid.

Not so much the root system as whether the stems root where they touch the ground. In any case, if you have a permit. It would be a good idea to take a specimen to the botanic gardens, or, better, the Black Mountain herbarium.
