Field Guide to Plants of the Molonglo Valley p.347 says 'Both native and introduced forms are found in Australia. All populations in the ACT are thought to be an introduced form.'

Will check with Meredith and Richard what is the source of their information. It is one that has kept me guessing which is why I opted to classifying it as a cosmopolitan species within Canberra Nature Map
