This is a single plant identified by Dave Albrecht, through a sample submitted to ANBG, as Olearia phlogopappa subsp continentalis. It is in rocky ground in open snow gum and E rubida forest. This would be a drier site than the moist to wet forest described for the species in Vic Flora.
This plant was identified through the ANBG as the continentalis subsp but is reported here as O. phlogopappa, possibly because at the time I missed that there is a separate listing (with no reports) for the subsp continentalis. Would it be desirable to re-assign this to the Olearia phlogapappa subsp continentalis listing? David
I should have said the Canberra nature map name is continentale not continentalis. I have checked Dave Albrecht's email to me which uses continentalis. I presume this difference is just a botanical nomenclature thing rather than a real difference? David
