Two more photos for Jon of the interesting grass material column the ants have built at the entrance, perhaps anticipating rain?

Thanks Kevin. This ant has been recorded a number of times before around the ACT, but doesn't seem to be very common (I haven't seen it before). Luckily, the colour, shape, hairy appearance and the very unusual carton nest entrance give us a good ID. Cheers, Jon
