Hi KMcCue, this ant looks like Camponotus consobrinus, which is very similar to Camponotus nigriceps. The two ants can usually be told apart by Camponotus consobrinus having a band of orangy-brown colour on the front part of the abdomen (gaster) where it connects to the rest of the body, and you can see this in your photos. In Camponotus nigriceps the gaster is generally all black. Cheers, Jon
