Thanks all. I found a patch this morning, and have some more pics. Was located on the edge of a drainage line. I will keep an eye on this.

Nathan - I think like Greg that this is Potentilla recta - if so it should have yellow strawberry like flowers. It has the potential to be a bad weed so worth checking out and removing if confirmed - I do have a memory of a native plant looking like this also but can't remember which one so you should be cautious
