Significant sighting
SuziBond noted:
2 Dec 2018
New location record for this species, significant because it is known from so few locations in the ACT.
User's notes
Seen on butterfly walk, spotted by Belinda and ID'd by Suzi. Appeared black in flight, but landed on the ground a couple of times and the colours on the underwing were stunning

Once in a lifetime sighting! Great work by Belinda to find this butterfly on the ground.

Ah, but you never know Matthew ;).
(also, we initially saw the butterfly flying before it landed on the ground)

Yeah, you never know what the future might hold. Seen in flight first, that makes sense.
