While I was up the hill in an area with a lot of trees I saw a male Common Brown Butterfly skipping over the lear litter. The butterfly really was perfectly camouflaged among the leaf litter when it stopped moving.

Wonderful photos! Yes, the Common Browns are incredibly hard to see when they land and close their wings on the ground.
