I would go as far as to say that this may be a variation of Maratus pavonis (Dunn 1947). There are a few suble, external differences here. I would place it as M. pavonis and I will follow up with taxonomists who will make ultimate decision. I found one similar with another collaborator on Mt Hotham (1700m) in 2015 and this still remains undescribed. A paper revising the Pavonis clade may be tackled some time in the future by those capable (not me!)
