Could be. It should be colonial. Vicflora describes it having above ground runners, Plantnet has it with underground runners. The leaves should be sticky hairy.
Both floras mainly use seed characters in their respective keys. So you really need to keep a watch on the plants and wait for mature seeds. Being on private property, you can put one of the plants in a pot for convenience in checking, and when it has mature seeds shake off as much dirt as you can and press the lot. I would put at least a few of the seeds in a separate zip lock bag so they do not get lost. Take your dry specimen into the botanic gardens.

Thanks Betty, there was another colony nearby identified two years ago by the herbarium as B.willisii. There is a specimen now included in the collection.
