Thank you for including a view of an upside down cap! When fresh the smooth yellow-brown to orageish cap has a sticky, somewhat glue-like coating, but in dry conditions that ‘glue’ dries and loses its stickiness. The wrinkles on the caps show that there has been some drying out of the cap tissue. I say more in the description of the species (https://canberra.naturemapr.org/Community/Species/30383). I’ve seen this species a few times in the ACTon a variety of wood.
