When I first saw this Dragonfly it was on the ground in a death fight with a European Wasp but as I bent to photograph this action the wasp left before I could record this behavior. The dragonfly appeared to recover and climbed on my finger before I placed it on the twig.
It was late evening so it may not have wished to fly. I did not stay for longer than possibly 15 minutes and it did not fly by then. I do not know if it had been stung but my observation of these wasps is that they use their mandibles and bite other insects in two. It may have had a lucky outcome and I put it up off the ground to give it a chance.
