actually not sure if radica or glabra.

I am pretty sure it is not Hypochaeris at all. There are several other weedy dandelion-like species in the CNM area. A decent photo of the leaves without all the extraneous sticks etc, and of the back of the flower, would help.
When Don was taking the photos for our books, he tried not to have any extraneous vegetation in the shot. Admittedly, he had the appropriate permits, so was able to do a bit of weeding.
