On log in Yellow box Woodland, about 5cm across

Perhaps Fuligo septica, but are there purplish-black spores under a thin, brittle skin? The close-ups suggest the white colour goes deep. While I don't rule out Fuligo, the photos also fit with this being a chewed-out something else.

No I didn't observe any purplish-black spores - so probably something else?
