Sorry about the quality of the photo but I was really surprised at the large number of Flying Foxes at dusk of the lake. I think that id would be impossible. But 'Enlighten' was really good.

We were watching them there last night too and were amazed by the numbers - we must have seen several thousand. Has someone done a count or know where they go?

They roost in Commonwealth Park. I've tried an informal count and can say there's >1000. I think I have heard of reports of up to 5000 but not sure. I believe someone has been monitoring the population
