This male Alpine Redspot was hawking along a stretch of Corin road. It settled only briefly on some roadside bushes before then disappearing into the forest. As far as is known, this species normally frequents waterfalls where the eggs are laid in mosses and decaying vegetation in the splash zone. The occurrence of this individual in the forest, and at this location, was very unexpected.
