This is one of the purplish-spored species of Calvatia and in the first pair of photos you see specimens in which the outer skin has disintegrated, to leave the purplish spores exposed to dispersal by wind. Moreover, most of the spores have already been dispersed. In the third you see a fate that is common to Calvatias. This specimen was squashed (probably by a ride-on mower) before it had been able to mature. The dirty, whitish skin had still been intact. Most of the Calvatias in this area had been similarly squashed.
