It is either Erodium cicutarium, the leaflets if which are deeply dissected, or Erodium moschatum, the leaflets of which are toothed, I am not able to decide one way or the other from your photo.
Thanks for the information. I will look for the plants next time and try for better photos of the leaves. There were three or four small plants in a small area and as both possibilities are exotics will dig them up if I can
I think it is E. cicutarium as the leaflets are finely, deeply and pretty randomly divided while this of E. moschatum have well separated lobes. Unfortunately it is a weed, but the leaves are supposively edible.
