Fantastic shots, I'm not sure but the casing might even show the delicate stringy bits that get pulled out for it to breathe when it emerges? (I saw this once on an Attenborough documentary on TV)....

Yep, the delicate stringy bits are the linings of the tracheae, the fine tubes that insects use for 'breathing'. The thoracic tracheae are particularly evident as they need to be large enough to supply the wing muscles.
