User's notes

A small fern with only 3 or 4 stems, sheltered by a rock on the east slope of a gulley in fairly open forest. One photograph shows the back side of the frond.

This is a young fern, probably C. austrotenuifolia, but too early to tell for sure

Thanks for the probable ID. I have the spot marked and will check it out later. NSW Flora Online says C. austrotenuifolia might die back during summer so I will see what happens. Is there anything in particular to look out for?

Just wait until the fronds grow bigger (abt. 15cm), the morphology will become clearer. It's likely to be C. austrotenuifolia or C, sieberi
