In Photo 2 the arrow points to part of the basal pattern created by the hyphal tufts, with the inset at the upper right showing a closer view. In Photo 3 I show numerous spores (along with some of the hyphae that make up the cotton-wool-like matrix in which the spores sit). The material is in a potassium hydroxide solution. The yellow-brown spores are almost smooth, have very short stalks (some arrowed) and ranged from 4.8 to 6.0 microns in diameter.
