Garden escapee invading banks of Ginninderra Creek. This group is characteristic of the low density along 4+ km of the Creek's length from Melba down to Macgregor. They grow in the flood zone above 'normal' water level. Each plant is a group of ca. 100 stems, each stem having perhaps 50 flowers.
Betty - I did record a leaf photo which does show stem clasping quite well, but isn't a good illustration of the lanceolate leaf shape or of slightly toothed edges on fully-grown leaves. i have added photo as third image nevertheless.
