User's notes

At the date these photographs were taken there were no remaining leaves. Vic flora notes that leaves are withered by the time flowers are well developed. I will try for photos of leaves earlier in the season. Vicflora notes that Lobelia gibbosa may behave as a "disturbance ephimeral". I first saw the flowers in this place in 1991 on a scrape where a track was put through in 1978. I have observed the dozen or so plants along several meters of the track almost every year since then.

You need leaves to be certain it is not Lobelia dentata.
