Without leaves, there is no way to differentiate Lobelia gibbosa from Lobelia dentata.

I have added two images of the specimen, and while the leaves are shrivelled, they are clearly linear, so I believe it is Lobelia gibbosa

Sorry, the leaves are too withered, and not from the lower part of the stem. CNM sightings upload onto the Atlas of Living Australia. I am not prepared to ID these photos beyond the genus level given that experts throughout Australia will be looking at them.
