Seedlings under old dead stems.

I cannot see any of the diagnostic purple spots on the stems, but it could be too young to have developed them. It does not really look like Daucus glochidiatus, another possibility.

Main plant in the photo was small with other seedlings showing first true leaves. Old dead stems a metre tall or more.
