Is there any chance you could put crop of the main image up so one can see what the individual components of the image are? It sort of looks like an aggregation of springtails (Collembola) on the surface film of the water.

I have done it. I used to see these things in puddles but have not seen them for many years.

We had two entries for Hypogastrura sp. I've just re-ID'd the sighting to the original name, and removed the duplicate entry.
