Looks like a Tailed Emperor to me but Suzi will be able to confirm. Great photos!

Thanks Matthew and Suzi for the info. This matches my field guide much better but I do like to have a guess. I have been trying to get a photo for a while but the wind today made them land.

It looks like it was attracted to the wattle sap - other butterflies like Yellow Admirals also adore feeding on this.
