Thanks Betty I Googled on Melaleuca western australia and looked at the images. The the only ones to have similar flowers were Melaleuca pulchella and M. violacea, but both had different leaves to M. thymifolia. So I’ve confirmed Vera’s suggestion because I can’t find any evidence to the contrary .
