The overall impression of this from the gills, cap and stipe is more likely a species of Laccaria then that of a Dermocybe

OK, thanks. I'm no mycologist, it just seemed to be similar to a photo of that species I saw. It seems that in many cases, to identify fungi to species or even genus you often need much more evidence than just a passive image, which is all I have in this case.

Yes. looking at the gill pattern of several Laccaria species online, it would seem to match.
