The flowers were growing more in spikes at the ends of the branches and the leaves were quite greyish and wider than L. virgatus

In Leucopogon attenuatus the flower stalks start at the bases of the leaves and are along the stems. Unlike Leucopgon virgatus and Leucopogon microphyllus var. pilibundus, the leaf tips are sharp.
