Growing on dead wood (probably cut hawthorn).

This could be a species of Stereum (if the underside is smooth) or a Trametes (if the underside has tiny pores). If a Stereum, then Stereum hirsutum is likely given the colouring and what looks to be a hairy upper surface. If Trametes, then Trametes versicolor.
