Checked these again yesterday (4 July) and the buds have not progressed. Obviously not a good year for them. A few more leaves have appeared.

I checked the population I found about a week ago. Still only a few in bud and a couple which I think will flower.

They didn't look too good yesterday - see Sighting 3344120 - so maybe the damage was done in the last week.
