A few of these very spiky things in a cluster and were bearing fruit/seed pod things.

There is a hakea - hakea lissocarpha which has leaves that look very like these, but it only occurs in WA. Could it be a garden escape?

Mt Jerrabomberra is the regional stronghold of Holly-leaf Grevillea, it does have very distinctive leaves
