Mike did you see the links I sent across? It may be a software issue rather than a hardware issue with the S6. It's a very good/modern device you've got there, it's worth playing around with the settings in the phone's OS for sure and experimenting to see if you can improve the results etc.
I thought I had the GPS issue sorted by loading from the gallery rather than taking a photo but I found that half my sightings at the Mugga Lane pond were showing as Calwell. The links looked a bit dangerous for me. Last time I did a factory reset (when the hard drive failed on my PC) it took ages to get back to some semblance to my setup.
Interesting... Mike if you take a photo just with your phone's camera and then download that photo to your computer manually and then just view the GPS location directly in the photo (without uploading to CNM), does the GPS location look correct or does it suffer the same general accuracy issues?
I will check when I get a chance. I could see that photos I took at the weekend mapped correctly on the phone so I was surprised when yesterday's photos showed in two locations. It is a pity I can't see my location when I take a photo, which I can do when mapping rabbit warrens with Collector.
